Billy Greineisen, Ph.D.

Principal

As a leader on the Market Development team, Billy drives enterprise value through CVS Health Ventures’ investment platform. He oversees the Fund’s portfolio management strategy and Limited Partner “fund of funds” program, while collaborating with internal business partners to identify high-impact growth opportunities for portfolio companies—ensuring each investment delivers both financial and strategic value to CVS Health.

BBilly brings a diverse background spanning science, entrepreneurship, and corporate strategy. Before joining CVS Health Ventures, he served as Director of Strategy and Corporate Development at Cox Enterprises, where he led the company’s health care investment strategy. Earlier in his career, he founded, built, and scaled several companies in the preventive health space. Billy holds a Ph.D. in Medical and Molecular Physiology from the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine and is an alumnus of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania Executive Education program.

Fun fact

In his spare time, Billy serves his community as a volunteer firefighter and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) in the Philadelphia area.
